World Breastfeeding Week Celebration
World Breastfeeding Week was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Leonard Hospital, Batlagundu, on 7th August 2026.
Sr. Dr. Vasantha, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, and Dr. Divya, Paediatrician, addressed pregnant women and the general public on the importance of breastfeeding for newborns. They highlighted the nutritional benefits of breast milk, its role in strengthening the child’s immunity, and its vital importance in the physical and brain development of infants.
The doctors emphasized that exclusive breastfeeding provides essential nutrients and natural protection against infections, supporting the healthy growth and overall development of the baby.
